We have had a jam packed Term 3 of Interschool sports. We are all so proud of all students who attended these events, here is a snapshot of all the events held this term.

AFL Girls Division Finals- Tuesday July 19th

20 year 5/6 girls represented Greenvale P.S in the Divisional AFL Girls Finals at Greenvale Recreational Reserve. The girls fought bravely all day, finishing overall 3rd, with their only loss being to the eventual winners. Great job girls!

AFL Boys Division Finals – Thursday July 21st

The boys had a squad of 22 to represent Greenvale P.S in the Divisional AFL Boys FInals Greenvale Recreational Reserve. The boys competed well all day, finishing with a record of 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. Finsihing 3rd overall. Excellent effort boys!

Teeball Boys and Girls Division Finals – Friday July 22nd.

Greenvale P.S represented the Greenvale district in both Boys and Girls Teeball finals, held at Jack Ginifer Reserve in Gladstone Park. Both teams efforts were unwavering and worked well as a team all day. The boys finished 3rd and girls 4th overall. Fantastic work to both teams!

District Athletics – Friday August 12th

We had 58 students represent the school at the Greenvale District Athletics Carnival down at Meadowglen Athletics Track. Students from year 3-6 competed and represented the school proudly all day. Overall, Greenvale P.S was named the 2022 Greenvale District Athletics Carnival Champions! Fantastic work to all students. We had 39 students qualify for the Division Athletics event.

 

Tennis Hot Shots – Friday August 26th

20 Year 6 boys and girls travelled down to Hume Tennis Centre in Cragieburn for the District Hot Shots competition, all students did a fantastic job across the day. The boys team finished 1st overall and the girls team finished 2nd, missing out on first place by one point! Congratulations to both teams. They move on to play in the Division Hot shots event in Term 4.

Term 3 Interschool Sport Gala Day – Friday August 2nd 

Greenvale P.S had 64 Year 5/6 students compete in End Zone and Capture the Flag round robin matches. All students had a fantastic time, they played with great respect for other schools and competed well all day. Great job to all students who participated!

Division Athletics Tuesday September 6th

The 39 students who finished either 1st or 2nd in the District Athletics, qualified for the Woodlands Divisional Athletics Carnival also being held at Meadowglen Athletics Track. All students competed well on the day and enjoyed their time competing against other schools all around the area. Overall, 18 students have qualified for the North Metro Region Athletics event to be held on October 11th. This is a monumentous effort by all the students, we can’t wait to see how they go next term!
