On Thursday April 18th, all year 3,4,5 and 6 students competed in the Annual Greenvale Athletics Carnival. Students competed in the following events: 100m race, 200m race, 800m race, 1500m race, Shot Put, Discus, High Jump and Long Jump.
All students that competed in the carnival were in the running to represent the school at the Greenvale District Athletics Carnival that will be held in Term 3. Across the day, the four House Colour Teams were battling it out to be the Athletics Day Champions. The competing teams, Oaklands (Yellow), Woodlands (Red), Cumberland (Blue) and Gellibrand (Green), accumulated points if a student from their house finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in any event. The team with the most points at the end of the day is declared the Champion House.
Woodlands was the overall winner of the day with Oaklands house being awarded the Spirit award for their amazing support during the day.
Congratulations to all students who won ribbons and competed on the day. It was a fantastic day overall! See you all for the District Event in Term 3!
