On Thursday the 27th of April and Monday the 1st of May, the year 3,4,5 and 6 students of Greenvale Primary School competed in the Annual Greenvale Athletics Carnival. Due to the weather it had to be split across two days but all the events ran smoothly. Students competed in the following events: 100m race, 200m race, 800m race, 1500m race, Shot Put, Discus, High Jump and Long Jump.

All students that competed in the carnival were in the running to represent the school at the Greenvale District Athletics Carnival that will be held in Term 3. Across the day, the four House Colour Teams were battling it out to be the Athletics Day Champions. The competing teams, Oaklands (Yellow), Woodlands (Red), Cumberland (Blue) and Gellibrand (Green), accumulated points if a student from their house finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in any event. The team with the most points at the end of the day is declared the Champion House.

Cumberland was the overall winner of the day with Oaklands being awarded the Spirit award for their fantastic support during the day.

Congratulations to all students who won ribbons, competed and enjoyed the day. See you all for the District event in Term 3!
