Hello everyone,

What a jam packed Performing Arts term it has been! Rehearsing, designing, collaborating, learning, singing, dancing, acting, teamwork and collaboration!

It was fantastic to see all of our students celebrate the Performing Arts here at Greenvale Primary School with our school community, showcasing our biannual School Concert titled, ‘A Night at the Movies’.

Students performed three fabulous shows in a week. Each performance engaged and entertained the audience and I could not be more proud of our student’s effort and commitment in creating such a fabulous show.

Producing and coordinating a concert is a whole school, team effort. I am privileged to work with such dedicated, committed and professional staff who always do their best for our students.

A special thank you to;

  • Mrs Emily Wilkes for her outstanding efforts with costumes and props.
  • Our classroom teachers who also provided students with extra practice sessions.
  • Year 6 students and teachers who assisted with setting up the seating in our venue.
  • Year 5 and 6 students who greeted parents with a smile at the beginning of each show and assisted younger students.
  • Our sound team – Mr. Daniel Wardan and Ms. Sujata Symons.
  • Our ‘Backstage Expert’ Mr Jake for his assistance with props.
  • Briohny Romano in the office who coordinated all of the ticketing and seating arrangements.
  • Mrs Gabriella Tigafua for coordinating all of the timetable changes.
  • Our creative concert program designers – Emily from 5/6C and Ammara from 6JW.

Finally, thank you to all of our students who participated and performed on stage. You have amazed all of us with your talent, willingness to step out of your comfort zone and perform with confidence and enthusiasm. You are all awesome!

Your proud Performing Arts Teacher,

Sonya Cunado
