Foundation students are listening to a story called ‘Sogni D’oro’, ‘Sweet Dreams’. They will be revising what was learnt last term, counting, the body parts song and a good morning song. We will also learn the language associated with greetings, numbers 1 -10 and learning the colours. They will be revising how to say, Today is…… (Oggi e` …………) and learning how to answer how they are feeling. Come stai?
Year 1/2 students are learning how to say family members in Italian and creating a family tree. They will be revising colours, greetings and numbers. They will also be practicing how to say the date in Italian.
Year 3/4 students are learning the names of transport in Italian. They will design and label a mode of transport in Italian.
Year 5/6 students are learning food names. They are learning what Italians in Italy have for Breakfast, lunch and dinner and how to order food at a restaurant. They will design a menu of their choice and give their restaurant a name. Last term, 11 Year 5 and 6 students represented Greenvale Primary School and participated in an Italian Poetry Competition at Gladstone Park Secondary College. Congratulations to Ammara, Sanuthi, Eray, Yusur, Ivy, Tyler, Orlando, Alexia, Emily, Levi and Mayon.
