Ciao a tutti, (Hello everyone)
We have had a busy Term 2…..
Foundation have been counting from 0-5 in Italian and playing a Buzz game with much enthusiasm. They have learnt songs and rhymes and have been following Pinocchio’s adventure at the fair. They tasted Zucchero filato, (fairy floss)
The Year 1 and 2 students followed Pinocchio’s journey through Italy, learning about Italian cities and landmarks. They learnt about Venice, the city surrounded by water, Rome the capital of Italy, Milan the city with the big Cathedral and Pisa with the Leaning Tower.
Year 3 and 4 students learnt about transport. They learnt action rhymes, songs, played a board game and learnt language needed to play and followed instructions to make a paper boat. The students learnt about seasons in Italy and Australia, months and seasons in Italian and how to say birthdays and the date in Italian.
Year 5 and 6 students wrote a short description of themselves and wrote and illustrated some crazy sentences. They played a boardgame and learnt the language needed to play the game in Italian. The students learnt the numbers to 100 in Italian and ordinal numbers to ten.
