Divisional AFL and Netball 2019

On Friday July 26th, the Greenvale PS AFL and Netball teams went to Jacana Football Club and Boardmans Stadium in Sunbury to compete in the Divisional Interschool Sport.

The Netball teams experienced a mix of results for the day, winning and losing games but learning a lot about the sport of netball along the way. Not a single player on the Greenvale PS Netball teams had played competitive netball outside of school, so to make it to the Divisional Championships was a great result.
Thank you to Mr Rovetto, Ms Lalor and Ms P for attending with the teams.

The recently strengthened AFL team played exceptionally well throughout the day, with very strong performances against Westmeadows, Craigieburn South and St Anne’s Primary Schools.
The team attacked the contests and vigour and spirit, tackled and ran hard and were very skilful around the contest.
They won all three of the matches and will now advance on to the Northern Metropolitan Region finals in just over a weeks time.
Thank you to Ms Smith for assisting with the AFL team.

We wish the AFL team all the best at the Region event.
