Art Room News Semester 1

Foundation students painted these cute and fluffy teddy bears by dabbing 2 colours of paint with a brush. We added eyes, nose and mouth as well as a bow or bow tie.

SOOOO CUTE, great job Foundation students.

Year 1 and 2 students have painted a beautiful still life painting. They began by shading the background with chalk pastels and blending the colours together. The next step was to make a 3D paper craft vase. Then the most exciting part of all PAINTING. Stems and leaves were painted first, then colourful flowers were added to the picture using a dabbing technique.

Beautiful, well done everyone.

Year 3 and 4 students made a patterned foil Mexican sun design.

  • Year 5 & 6 students modelled a clay bird using applied decoration for the eyes, beak and wings. These were fired, glazed and finishing touches added.

A BIG THANK YOU to the families who have been donating their empty egg cartons, margarine containers and ice cream containers to the Art room.

Keep them coming please.

*Don’t forget every student must have an Art smock for Art lessons as some of our fun activities are a little messy.
