Students in Year 1 have been learning about History this term. Students have explored toys, technology, objects and school life from the past and they have compared how it is different today. In Week 7, all of the Year 1 students had the opportunity to attend the Yarrabee Yesterday’s World Excursion. They took part in a lesson from the olden days where they were shown how to have a health check and complete a handwriting lesson. Some students were able to demonstrate the punishments cheeky children may have been given at school. They also had time to discover many artifacts from the past. Students were taught games including, sack races, kick the can and egg and spoon races. They had a fantastic day and were happy to return to their present classrooms at the end of the day. Below are some photos from the excursion.
