Regional Cross Country 2018

On Wednesday June 20th, seven Greenvale Primary School students attended Bundoora Park to compete in the Regional Cross Country.

On a gruelling track and in cold conditions our students represented Greenvale Primary School with great stamina, courage and determination racing in a range of 2000 and 3000m events.

Whilst on this occasion, no one was able to advance through to the State Championships, every student should be extremely proud of their efforts.

To compete at such a high level of competition is a credit to your talent, athleticism and hard work. I hope to see you all back on the Cross Country track again in 2019.

State Athletics 2017

On Monday October 30th, Mischa and Max from Greenvale Primary School competed in the State Track and Field Championships held at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park.

Mischa competed in the 10 Year Girls 80m Hurdles as the only 9 year old in the state finals. She ran slightly below her best in the heats, falling only 0.05 of a second short of qualifying for the final.

Max ran a personal best in his 11 Year Boys 200m heat, qualifying third fastest for the final. The rain poured for the final, making for a slow track, ultimately Max finished 5th.

Well done to both Max and Mischa on a outstanding individual achievements. You have competed at the highest level in the state and both proved to be outstanding athletes. You should be extremely proud of yourself.
I look forward to working with you through the School Sport Victoria pathway again in 2018.
