Information for Hire of Facilities

The Hire of Facilities Committee, a sub-committee of the School Council, has the task of managing the hire, lease and use of school facilities. Funds raised through this operation provide additional financial support to many school educational programs as well as encouraging worthwhile community programs. All arrangements for the use of school facilities involve contracts that ensure appropriate care and responsibility. Working with Children checks are compulsory for any person in contact with Greenvale Primary students.

The Hire of Facilities Committee negotiate facility hire for the following regular programs:

Overview

Our School Canteen, managed by Mary Spiteri from CMS, provides healthy lunches for our students within School Council policy guidelines. Canteen menus can be collected from the General Office or on the school website .  They also provide ‘special event’ lunches that attract a good response from the students. The Canteen’s direct phone number is 9333 2500.

The School’s Before and After School Care program is run by OSHClub, a direct link is provided on our website.  For application details phone OSHClub on (03) 8564 9001 or visit their website at  www.oshclub.com.au.

Zumba for Adults – Is held in the school gym on a Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7:00 – 8:00pm.  For further information or bookings please contact Ana on 0414 161 771.

 Learningland has been established for over 12 years providing fun phonics programs through music, dance and play for kids aged 3 – 5 years.. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Friday from 9.30am in our Community room.  For bookings and information please ring the Learningland teacher Raelene on 0410 803 123.  You can also visit the website at www.learningland.com.au for more information about this exciting program.

Chess Education Victoria has been operating since 2003 with a class of up to 20 students from Prep to 6. The coach, David Beaumont, is an experienced chess teacher and one of Victoria’s leading chess players. Kelly Sports provide various indoor and outdoor fitness activities for students at Greenvale Primary on Thursdays from 3:40-4:40pm, including dancing and sporting skills.  For further information or enrolments you can access their website at http://www.kellysports.com.au or by contacting Mitch on 0417 102 933 or head offiice 9384 2204.  Kelly Sports also run School Holiday Programs and a Saturday morning session for children under 5.

Genesis Music School will conduct Private Music lessons (Guitar, Drums, Keyboard) to students on Wednesday and Friday afternoons during school hours. The Samoan Methodist Church Choir uses the School Hall on Saturday and Sunday afternoons for Choir practice and as a meeting venue for the Samoan Community.
