Here are some of our student’s amazing Art works for 2017.
Foundation students painted these cute and fluffy teddy bears by dabbing 2 colours of paint with a brush. We added eyes, nose and mouth as well as a bow or bow tie.
SOOOO CUTE, great job Foundation students.
Year 1 and 2 students have painted a beautiful still life painting. They began by shading the background with chalk pastels and blending the colours together. The next step was to make a 3D paper craft vase. Then the most exciting part of all PAINTING. Stems and leaves were painted first, then colourful flowers were added to the picture using a dabbing technique.
Beautiful, well done everyone.
Year 3 and 4 students made a patterned foil Mexican sun design.

Year 3 and 4 students made “Chihuly” style clay sculptures based on the glass artist Dale Chihuly. After the first firing the sculptures were glazed and re-fired.
Years 1 and 2 students have been learning how to sew in straight lines on hessian as part of their threads and textiles unit.
This term Year 5 & 6 students were busy working on their modern, abstract stocking and wire sculptures.
They particularly enjoyed experimenting with different painting techniques. The splatter technique was popular and best completed outside.
Grade 5 and 6 students enjoyed working on their clay “Tribal Masks”. These were made from terracotta clay and then fired and decorated with paint, beads, straw, wool etc.
