Choir visit to Nursing Homes

On Monday 7th December the Senior Choir students visited 4 different Nursing Homes and sang Christmas carols to the Residents. The Nursing Homes were: North Western District Nursing home in Tullamarine, St Anne’s Hostel in Westmeadows, Arcadia Aged Care Home in Essendon and Opal Aged Care Meadow Heights. James also played ‘Away in a Manger’ on his guitar and his little sister Claudia sang. Well done to the choir students and congratulations for a fantastic effort in all performances throughout the year.

Music Count us in song

IMG_0808 IMG_0806 IMG_0802On 29th October 2015 the choir students went to Federation square on a beautiful sunny day to sing the ‘Music Count us in’ song Gold. Our own James gave a speech to around 13 schools, who were also participating, about what music means to him. Thousands of students all around Australia sang and played music to the same song at the same time, including all the Greenvale Primary Students. It’s organised as a celebration of the importance of Music Education in schools.

Beach Party School Concert 2015

We’ve just finished performing the 3 concerts to parents, family and friends. A fantastic job by all the children from Foundation to Year 6. Congratulations to the students and thank you to everyone who came to watch.

Video: Greenvale students celebrate music education

On October 30th thousands of students from schools all around Australia sang ‘Paint you a song’ at 12.30pm AEST to celebrate Music Education in schools. Our students met at the Assembly area and joined in the celebration. Meanwhile students from the Senior Choir and other Performing Arts students also sang at the same time in Melbourne Federation Square.
