After a delayed start for one of our busses we all arrived at Portsea camp in time for a delicious lunch of make your own cold meat and salad rolls. We then changed into our beach gear and hit the water, a light drizzle didn’t stop us from having a great time. As the clouds started to build we headed back to camp for afternoon tea, showers, a thunder storm and some indoor games. Dinner was fish and chips and your choice of the most delicious salads you could dream of, followed by ice cream cake for desert. Don’t forget to check in each night to find out what has been happening at camp
Year 5 Camp
On Tuesday the 9th of October the Year 5 cohort went to Phillip Island Adventure Resort. Students enjoyed a range of activities such as the giant swing, twin flying fox and the circatron. We also had the opportunity to go to A Maze ’N’ Things where we played mini golf and got lost in the maze.
Year 5 camp was the best camp EVER! My favourite activity was the circatron. Another activity I enjoyed was the giant swing. I personally think that the food was pretty good. We made pancakes on the last day and they were really good!

Year 5 camp in 2018 was my favourite camp I have ever been on! My favourite part was the circitron that astronauts used to train on. Another thing was the disco. We danced to lots of songs and we had a lot of fun. But my favourite part of all was the food. We had amazing meals that always left us full. We had breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

My favourite thing about Year 5 camp was the Twin flying fox because you had an amazing view of Phillip Island. Another
Our final day at camp included more exciting challenges. Students had one last rotation before lunch and then it was time to head home. Some campers were a little worn out and took the opportunity to have a nap on the bus, while others enjoyed their last chance to share their favourite moments of the camp. Our worn-out adventurers were eager to return to the comforts of home, taking lasting memories with them.
Day 2 at camp was yet another glorious day. In the beautiful sunshine, we faced our fears, collaborated in teams, climbed hills and walls, galloped on mighty steeds, admired the stars and viewed the hills in the moonlight. We chatted together, offered support and cheered each other on. Students demonstrated independence, resilience, kindness, compassion and friendship! What a wonderful journey we have been on. What’s instore for day 3, I wonder…
Year 4 students arrived safely at the Ace-Hi ranch yesterday and haven’t stopped since. They have been climbing, laughing, riding, scaling, swinging and having a great time! The students are settling down for a hearty breakfast ready for the big day ahead….stay tuned!

The weather continues to be hot and sunny which means lots of water, sunscreen and hats for our campers. Our day was filled with high ropes, flying fox rides, giant swings and ball games. Lots of challenges to be met and conquered. After lunch it was off to the beach again where throwing buckets of water at each other seemed to be the main game. At dinner time our delicious lasagna was followed by birthday cake as we celebrated 3 birthdays. Tonight it is movie night then a well earned rest.
