Divisional Swimming 2018

On Monday March 5th, six Greenvale Primary School students attended the Northcote Swimming Pool to participate in the Divisional Swimming Championships.

Our students competed with great enthusiasm and spirit in a range of events including freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke and butterfly, with a mix of results.

Well done to all students involved, for conducting yourself with great skill and sportsmanship and a special congratulations to the students who qualified for the Regional Championships in a weeks time: Brodey, Lara, Kean and Abbey.

We wish you all the best.

Greenvale Cross Country 2018

On Friday March 2nd, students from Years 4, 5 and 6 at Greenvale Primary School (as well as some selected Year 3s), competed in our annual Cross Country.

In perfect conditions our students competed with great spirit across 2000 and 3000m races. It was amazing to see so many students displaying their house colours, participating in team chants and cheering each other on.

Students placing in the top 10 of their race, secured themselves a spot in the Greenvale Cross Country team and won points for their house. The overall House standings finished with:

4th Gellibrand – 62 points
3rd Woodlands – 106 points
2nd Oaklands – 145 points
1st Cumberland – 155 points

All students put in amazing effort throughout the morning, to finish such a long race is a great accomplishment. Some excellent individual achievements went to the following age group champions:

10 Year Girls: Mischa
10 Year Boys: Omer
11 Year Girls: Maiya
11 Year Boys: Brodey
12 Year Girls: Annie
12 Year Boys Royce
