‘Dancing Through The Decades’

Congratulations to all the students who performed 3 concerts for family and friends at the end of Term 3. Each grade were required to perform a song from one of the decades of 1950s to the 2000s. They practiced for several weeks during Performing Arts time and sometimes their teacher gave the students time to practice.

A big thank you to all staff of the school who gave wonderful support and assistance to ensure our concerts were a great success. Particular thanks to our Visual Arts Teacher who not only created the delightful backdrop of our concert but also worked hard behind the scenes, ensuring nervous and excited students were ready to perform.

For more pictures of the concert please visit our office area where a slide show of photos will be playing. These will be uploaded in the first week of Term 4.

With thanks

Work Experience students

At the end of Term 2 we hosted thirteen Year 10 work experience students. Many of them were previous Greenvale Primary students and came from various Secondary schools. A big thank you to the teachers who accepted and mentored the students. We are also grateful for the work and assistance these students gave during their stay.

Choir visits to Nursing Homes

A huge congratulations to the school Choir for their thoroughly entertaining performances today at 4 different Nursing Homes in the areas of Westmeadows, Tullamarine, Essendon and Meadow Heights. The Residents and Staff of the homes thanked the students for their wonderful singing. They sang some familiar songs such as ‘Waltzing Matilda’, ‘Lean on Me’, ‘Botany Bay’ and ‘Colour my World’. The choir students who attended consisted of children from Years 2 to 6. They practised every week during Friday lunchtimes. Their next performance will be at the September School Concert. Lots more practice, but loving it!
